HYDRAULIC BREAKERS / HAMMERS

KOMAC breakers are known for a high power-to-weight ratio, utilizing quality materials for longer lifespan and reduced downtime. The design often includes adjustable oil flow and blow speed for optimal performance.

Breakers are designed to fit a wide range of machinery from brands like Caterpillar, Volvo, Hitachi, Komatsu, Hyundai, and more. Proper matching of the breaker's weight and hydraulic flow/pressure with the carrier machine is crucial for efficiency and safety.

Product Series:

  • KB Series: Compact designs often suited for mini-excavators and smaller jobs, with models like the KB150S (0.8-3.0 ton machines) and KB350S (4-9 ton machines).
  • TOR Series: Larger models designed for heavy-duty applications. The TOR series often features advanced systems like blank firing protection, built-in auto-greasing, and swivel valves to prevent hose damage.

VIBRATING RIPPER

KOMAC, a South Korean manufacturer of hydraulic attachments, produces vibrating rippers designed for high-efficiency rock excavation and concrete demolition. These attachments offer productivity potentially 3-5 times higher than traditional hydraulic breakers, particularly in challenging environments.

The core mechanism involves a high-frequency vibratory system that works with the natural rigidity of the rock, shaking the material to deepen cracks and facilitate easier breakup. The design often features fewer wearing parts and requires less maintenance compared to conventional breakers, contributing to lower operating cost

A major advantage is significantly reduced noise levels (around 55-70 dB while working) compared to piston hammers, making them ideal for urban and residential construction sites where noise complaints are a concern.

KOMAC's vibrating rippers are designed to be easily mounted on a range of excavators, with models available for machines typically from 9 to 45 tons, and can be used in frozen ground and underwater conditions without special modifications.

BUCKET CRUSHERS

Komac bucket crushers are a line of excavator attachments designed for on-site material processing and recycling. These attachments offer an efficient and cost-effective solution for crushing various materials such as concrete, rock, and debris directly on the job site.

Enable on-site recycling, which significantly reduces waste disposal and transportation costs, lowering overall project expenses.

Compatible with a wide range of excavators, with models designed for machines ranging from 9 tons to 45 tons. Designed for seamless and easy installation on existing excavators and feature simple operation controls.

SHEARS & GRAPPLES

Komac manufactures hydraulic shears and demolition grapples for use as attachments in various construction, scrap and demolition applications for use on excavators of various sizes.

Hydraulic Shears: These attachments are used for cutting materials such as scrap metal, steel, and concrete with rebar during demolition. They are built with robust features like wear-resistant, interchangeable steel inserts and duckbill blade designs to retain the object being cut.

Grapples: Komac offers demolition and sorting grapples with reinforced shells and independently operating arms for clamping uneven loads. These are suitable for tasks like primary and secondary demolition, recycling, waste transfer, and land clearing. The design ensures smooth material flow and ample rotation power.

DEMOLITION ARM

KOMAC demoltion arrms are mounted on the excavator's boom in place of the arm (dipper). The normal stick is removed, Allowing for a larger, heavier shear with the maximum possible cutting force and jaw opening for the carrier. The entire mass is closer to the machine, improving stability and maximizing power.

Ideal for high-cycle scrap processing and secondary demolition (materials already at ground level) where maximum cutting power on thick steel is the priority.

QUICK COUPLERS

Komac quick couplers are robust, Korean-made systems designed for excavators to allow rapid and safe changes of hydraulic attachments directly from the operator's cab. They offer a versatile, "all-in-one" design to increase efficiency and safety on the job site.

The primary purpose is to quickly attach and detach various excavator tools (e.g., breakers, buckets, grapples, compactors) without manual intervention in the hydraulic version, saving significant time and effort.

They utilize a one-body design with no welding between the middle and bottom plates, which distributes stress evenly and enhances durability. This design allows one coupler to be compatible with multiple brands of attachments within the same excavator weight class.

COMPACTORS

Komac compactors are excavator attachments known for their high-frequency vibration and impact power, designed for efficient soil and gravel compaction in construction projects.

The attachments are compatible with various backhoe and excavator models, maximizing equipment use. They are available in various models offering a range of centrifugal forces, typically from 3,000 kg to 14,000 kg, to suit different project scales

PILE DRIVERS

KOMAC manufactures excavator-mounted hydraulic vibratory pile drivers as part of its range of heavy equipment attachments.

These pile drivers are designed to work with various excavators using high-frequency vibration to reduce the frictional resistance between the pile and the soil. Allowing the pile to be driven into the ground or extracted using the excavator's downforce and lifting force.

KOMAC offers several pile driver models designed for different excavator sizes and project requirements:

  • KPD250

  • KPD300

  • KPD400
